Our core beliefs
We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and generally accepts the statement of "The Southern Baptist Faith and Message" as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963. However, God's word as revealed in the Holy Bible is the sole authority in matters of faith and practice. The two ordinances observed by the church are Baptism and The Lord's Supper. The government of this church is vested in the body of believers who compose it. It is subject to the control of no other ecclesiastical body, but recognizes the stewardship of mutual counsel and cooperation with Southern Baptist churches and other churches of the Christian faith.
Our vision: building His church
At West County Line Baptist Church, our vision is to create an environment where Jesus Christ can, through the Holy Spirit, build His church. We strive to be a local body of born-again, Bible believers who obey the Lord Jesus Christ, doing His work while caring for one another and reaching lost souls. We worship God through our walk, our witness, and our work.
Our history
West County Line Baptist was formed in 1935. We were originally organized in the Coffee County Association, and since a County Line Baptist all ready existed, we were named West County Line Baptist because we were located on the west side of Coffee County (later became the Sardis Association and now Covington County). We shared a church building with County Line Methodist until 1959 when our building was completed.
